About me
In my current role with Chicago Public Schools, the fourth-largest school district in the US, I am a Director of Strategic Operations and Initiatives in the Talent office, and manage a data and workforce analytics and strategic project team of four. I am the Co-chair for the AI Subcommittee on Operational Efficiency. I am a certified Project Manager, and lead customized project management trainings for Chicago Public Schools' staff across departments.
My previous initiatives include the rollout of the digital COVID-19 Health Screener, setting up of vaccination centers, implementing a new background check system for the district. I have also led a team of six responsible for 2700+ staff at 650+ schools in a Staffing Operations manager position with the Nutrition department. I started as a Graduate Fellow in 2015 with a focus on data analytics. I am the Founder of Build Up Bold, a professional development collective for women, and recently co-founded CivicAI, focusing on GenAI in the social impact sector.
Before graduating in International Development from University of Minnesota, I worked in the Corporate Citizenship team at KPMG in India. I started as a volunteer and transitioned into a full-time role. My work included:
1. leading 20+ student teams working on community outreach and entrepreneurship projects;
2. community development projects with non-profits such as Hope India and Junior Achievement;
3. organizing volunteering events for over 10,000 employees;
4. presenting on Citizenship initiatives to national and international audiences.
I did my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Economics. Outside of work, I co-lead the Women's Leadership and Mentoring Program for Chicago Women in Philanthropy. I also created and led the mental health section for Feminism in India, an intersectional digital platform, as part of which I authored articles, curated content, and interviewed practitioners and experts.
